The 335-horsepower EcoTec3 V8 is another option, and there's a turbodiesel engine that can generate 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.
Some of the more off-road-oriented models are equipped with Chevy's Turbo Max engine, which makes up to 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The off-road models have large 33-inch tires, Multimatic DSSV dampers and tuned suspension calibrations.
The 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 can tow a maximum of 13,300 pounds out of North Charleston and handle a payload of up to 2,260 pounds when properly equipped.
